Get to know me a little…

I’ve always had a strong love affair with the written word. Maybe it stems from me being able to express myself better in writing than I ever could do with the spoken word. I’m not a very articulate speaker. So it doesn’t come as a surprise that I only get to express my thoughts through writing and in this case – blogging. Ettenyl Writes presented me with the proper medium for this passion.
I used to be a corporate slave from Manila, packed up my bags, and decided to follow my heart all the way down south in the often misconstrued island of Mindanao. Life had its twists and turns, and after my marriage ended, I found myself returning to Luzon as a mom focused on building a new chapter for myself and my girls. It’s been a journey of rediscovery, resilience, and growth—one I’m learning to embrace every step of the way.
Though life with my kids keeps me busy, I’ve always found time to create. Whether it’s organizing events, crafting DIY projects, designing posters, or dabbling in Photoshop magic, creativity fuels my spirit. And while my blogging took a backseat for a while, it’s made its way back into my life—and I’m so glad it did.
Here at Ettenyl Writes, you’ll find pieces about personal growth, mindfulness, travel, and even my artistic adventures. Whether I’m reflecting on the chaos of parenting, sharing lessons from a quiet moment, or giving you a glimpse of my favorite creative projects, my goal is to inspire you to find beauty in the everyday and courage in your own story.
